§ 66-1. Tree trimming affecting rights-of-way.

  • (a)

    The trimming of any trees located within or overhanging any village right-of-way by any person or entity other than the village or its agents, employees, or contractors, is hereby prohibited except when performed pursuant to a permit issued by the village pursuant to a tree-trimming policy as may be adopted from time to time by resolution of the village council and when such work is completed in compliance with such policy.

    (b)

    Any violation of this provision is a municipal civil infraction which may be enforced and penalties imposed as provided in section 1-7 of the Code of Ordinances.
